Foreign Companies That Aren’t So Foreign by D.C. Denison in the Boston Globe (10/16). European direct investment in the U.S. is a sustaining force for American employment across the country.  In Massachusetts, for example, nearly 120,000 people are employed at popular “local” businesses that are actually European-owned companies – mainly from Britain, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
